To Have and To Hold

"...to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, 'til death do us part."

Today is not Valentine's Day. It's not even my Wedding Anniversary. (My husband and I got married January 25, 1999.) But I know that the vow I made that fateful day is to be kept and remembered day in and day out, in infinity for the rest of my life.

I have to be honest, after 13 years of being married I haven't memorized the whole vow yet... until now. I remembered I made the vow not only with my husband, but with God as well. It has to be kept in my heart and mind and to be fulfilled every moment.

In Ephesians 5:22-23, it reads, "Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands. Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word..."

In order for me to solemly fulfill my marriage vow to my husband, I need to be grounded as well on God's words, for in the equation of Husband + Wife = Marriage, the plus sign is really a cross which stands for Christ, which should be in the center of our union.

You Don't Have Time?

Whenever I hear myself, saying I am busy I don't have time for exercise, time to play a game with my girls, time to walk my dog, I remember what I heard in a preaching in church. All of us have equal time- 24 hours in a day. It is what we value as important that we put much time of. Is it work? Is it family? Is it your hobby? As for me, this is my hierarchy of importance in life - 1. GOD 2. family 3. Ministry 4. Pets 5.Work 6. Friends 7.Hobbies

"There is no truth in saying that we don't have time. All of us always have time for something we deem important to us." ~ Rev. Edmund Chan

My Best Buddy

My best buddy is a four legged friend. He has two big ears good for listening. He barks instead of talk. He licks my face instead of kiss. He wags his tail instead of waving whenever he sees me. His name is Rover.

There is none on earth you can ever find a friend as loyal and faithful as the dog. It is indeed man's best friend. It doesn't talk behind your back, understands you real well, forgives easily and loves unconditionally accepting you for who you are.

Doctor Dog

I go to my favorite doctor when I do not generally feel well. Rover is his name. He is my Doctor Dog.

Pets are great healers. They help heal emotional hurts and pain, lets you forget all worries, brings comfort over distress. They heal from the heart...

Best Mother of the Year

One of my inspirations in motherhood is my cat "Little Girl". She is not a little girl now as she became a mother to 10 kittens already. In fact, five of them are adult cats already. And even if these cats are grown up, I can still see how loving and affectionate she is towards them.

One of the most devoted domestic animal mothers on earth is the cat. A female cat is able to transform herself, without training from a sweet and playful cat to a very loving and devoted mother to her kittens. If there will be a contest on motherhood, the Mommy cat definitely can be voted as "Best Mother of the Year". :-)
